Jasc Launches Public Preview of Paint Shop Pro 9 and New Paint Shop Pro Studio

August 5, 2004 -- Jasc® Software, Inc. announced today the launch of the public preview of Paint Shop™ Pro® 9, the latest version of its award-winning photo and graphics editor. In addition, Jasc announced the launch of the public preview of Paint Shop™ Pro® Studio, a new photo editor aimed at consumers who want to do more than novice editing without a steep learning curve.

Results from Jasc market research clearly defined a trend towards two significant groups of users. About half of those surveyed wanted a Paint Shop Pro that was more powerful and offered even more professional-strength tools for photo editing, graphic design, and digital art. The other half wanted a Paint Shop Pro that was more fun and easier to use, making photo-editing projects a reality for everybody.

Paint Shop Pro Studio is for consumers who are ready to do more with their digital photos, but aren’t sure where to start. Studio leverages Paint Shop Pro’s power and flexibility to provide a key set of photo editing and graphic design tools that are easy-to-use, making editing photos and creating graphics fun for first-time and intermediate users.
