HyperTyle 1.0: An Amazing Texture Effects Plugin
August 2, 2002 - The Plugin Site (http://www.thepluginsite.com) is pleased to announce HyperTyle for Windows. HyperTyle is a sophisticated Photoshop-compatible plugin for generating texture, surface, paint, erosion, transparency, edge, frame, shadow and many other effects. HyperTyle can be used with a wide range of applications, e.g. Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, Photo-Paint, Fireworks, Painter, PhotoImpact and Picture Publisher.
Unlimited Effects
The Texture, Surface, Paint, Erosion, Edge and Shadow main effects of HyperTyle are all based on seamless textures. Additionally there are also offset, zoom, rotation, metal, chrome, pop-art, warp, mirror, blur, noise, blending and other secondary effects which can be simultaneously applied to the seamless texture which is used for the main effect. The No Texture main effect lets the user apply the secondary effects directly to the image without using a texture, whereas the Image Surface main effect turns the image into reliefs, makes them glow or sharpens them. Moreover, up to 20 different effects can be applied at the same time without leaving the HyperTyle plugin dialog. Taking into account the large number of included textures, the twelve main effects, the several dozen secondary effects, the various slider settings, HyperTyle offers an unlimited number of effects.
Seamless Textures Included
The download version of HyperTyle is delivered with 128 seamless photo, synthetic and painting textures. The CD version provides 1000+ seamless textures including 100 high resolution ones. You can also use other textures in BMP format in HyperTyle, e.g. self-created textures, textures downloaded from the web or textures from various image applications like Paint Shop Pro. Non-seamless textures can even be made seamless with the help of the 20 mirror effects. Additionally, the Texture Map feature lets you convert colored textures with 10 different grayscale methods for producing color-neutral effects or effect variations.
Skinned Dialog
The dialog of HyperTyle is skinned and provides mouseover-buttons. It consists of a large preview on the left side and a tab sheet control with all filter parameters on the right side. HyperTyle is fairly easy and intuitive to use. For beginners there's even a Tutorial Mode which displays explanations and tips when the mouse pointer moves over a control. A preset feature lets you save effect settings and reuse them later. 90 useful preset files are already delivered with HyperTyle. The Random button on two of the tab sheets lets you explore all possible effects quickly and easily by producing random effect settings.
Availability & System Requirements
HyperTyle is only available for Windows at the moment. A Macintosh version is planned. HyperTyle sells at $49.95 (Download Version with 128 textures) or $59.95 (CD Version with 1000 textures) and can be purchased at http://www.thepluginsite.com/products/hypertyle/.
